Privacy policy

Last updated 14 October 2026. In case of doubt, the Danish version applies.

uber1337.dk is a non-commercial Counter-Strike community run by volunteers. Here you can read what information we store about you when you play on our servers or use the website, why we do it and how long we keep it.

When you play on our servers

  • SteamID and player name – used for stats, rankings, skins, admin rights and bans.
  • IP address – used to enforce bans, find extra accounts of banned players, choose the language of server messages and voice chat, and show your country in the stats. Only admins can see IP addresses.
  • Game stats – kills, deaths, weapons, time on the server and similar (HLstatsZ at stats.uber1337.dk).
  • Chat – the chat on server #1 is also sent to our Discord.
  • Demos – recordings of the matches with the players’ names and movements. They can be watched and downloaded at demos.uber1337.dk.
  • Cheat check – aim and movement data from demos and our servers is used to find possible cheating. Only admins can see the result, and nobody is banned automatically.

On the website

  • Login with Steam – we get your SteamID, name and avatar from Steam. We never get your password.
  • Profile, forum and comments – what you write yourself.
  • Skin choices – the skins you pick are stored with your SteamID.
  • Cookies – we only use the cookies needed to keep you logged in and to remember your language, plus WordPress.com’s visitor statistics (Jetpack), which counts page visits.

Why

We process the information to run the servers and the website, keep stats and enforce the rules, including against cheating (legitimate interest, GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We don’t sell any information and don’t use it for advertising.

How long

  • IP addresses are deleted after 90 days. This also applies to the IP address on a ban; the ban itself still applies to your SteamID.
  • Anti-cheat data (findings from our servers and the cheat check) is deleted after 90 days. If you ask for deletion while you have an active ban or findings from the last 90 days, they and the related demos are kept until they expire, so a ban can’t be avoided by deleting your data.
  • Demos are deleted after 90 days. Demos attached to a permanent ban are kept as long as the ban exists.
  • Stats and bans are kept as long as they are part of the stats and the ban list.
  • Server logs are deleted after 30 days, and backups after 12 months at most.

Who can see the information

Stats, the ban list and demos are public and show player names and SteamIDs. IP addresses and the cheat check are only visible to our admins. We use these services to run the community: Valve/Steam (login and server list), Discord (chat and messages to admins), Cloudflare (traffic to the website), SSDVPS in Denmark (hosting the game servers) and WordPress.com/Jetpack (visitor statistics).

Your rights

Log in with Steam and go to My data to see what we have about you and delete all of it (except bans and mutes). The deletion happens 7 days after you confirm, and until then you can cancel it on the page. You can also get access to your information and ask us to correct or delete it by writing to us via the contact page with your SteamID. An active ban and your SteamID on it can’t be deleted before the ban expires. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
