Rules
uber1337.dk is a Danish community, but everyone is welcome. Please write and speak English if the others don’t understand Danish.
Language
In general we are quite tolerant on uber1337.dk. CS2 has good built-in options for blocking players you don’t want to listen to, but some things are not allowed:
- A bad microphone, for example one that stays open and makes noise for long periods
- Using voice or chat only to provoke others and ruin the mood
If only one or two players are bothered, they can use the block communication feature built into the game.
Some statements are strictly forbidden:
- “I know where you live, you shouldn’t feel safe”
- “I hope you die of cancer”
- “I hope your mother/father/aunt/guinea pig/hamster gets killed”
Threats of violence and wishing death or harm in real life on other players, their friends or family are not tolerated in any way. Racist and sexist remarks are not tolerated either.
Conduct
Players are expected to behave and to play the game the way it is meant to be played. As T you plant the bomb, and as CT you defend the bomb sites. Examples of what is not allowed:
- Ts camping in spawn (depends on the map: one or two Ts can cover mid on Dust2, but staying in spawn on Nuke makes little sense)
- Ts deliberately dropping the bomb in hard-to-reach places
- Deliberately blocking teammates (for example the door on the way to B from T spawn on Mirage)
- General trolling and ruining the mood
- Being AFK on and off, just not long enough for the AFK manager to act
- Lack of respect for the admins and their instructions
- Only going for knife kills or ninja defuses without caring about the rest of the game
- Deliberate team damage or team kills if friendly fire is on (it is currently off on our servers). Retaliating is also forbidden and can get both players banned.
- Harassment and bullying of other players
Beyond that, we expect you to behave like a good guest:
- Show respect for the other guests
- Respect that players of all ages and skill levels play here. It goes both ways: don’t call better players tryhards or newer players noobs, nobody gains from it
- Respect the hosts (admins) and their instructions
- Help keep a good atmosphere: “Try aiming a bit higher next time” beats “you fat noob”
- Remember that players of all ages are on the server, so think before you write or say something
If you can do that, we are very happy to have you as a guest on our servers.
Fake names
Using the name of a well-known Counter-Strike player is generally allowed; other players should understand that you are just a fan. It is not allowed to:
- Use an admin’s name
- Use the name of another player on uber1337.dk if the owner of the name says it is NOT ok
- Change to a name that insults another player, for example “LeetDonkey is an idiot”
Cheating
No form of cheating is tolerated on uber1337.dk, including things VAC doesn’t catch, such as bhop scripts. Examples of cheating that will get you banned:
- Any third-party program that gives an unfair advantage, such as aimbot and wallhack
- Ghosting
- Bhop scripts
Other
If no admin is on the server, you can use !report (or !calladmin). Only use it when it is necessary; abuse will be punished.
There is zero tolerance for hacks. A ban for using third-party programs applies to all your accounts, current and future.
VAC bans
uber1337.dk can and will ban you if one of your accounts gets a VAC or game ban in CS2 (or earlier in CS:GO), even if the cheating did not happen on uber1337.dk. If you play well, an admin will often take a closer look, and if it turns out that you have another account with a VAC ban, you can be banned without further evidence. In short: we no longer give you the benefit of the doubt if you have cheated on another account. So if you just have to try a cheat to see how it works, DON’T DO IT ON AN ACCOUNT YOU HAVE PLAYED ON UBER1337.DK WITH.
Commands
The commands you can use on the servers (skins, map votes, stats and calling an admin) are on the Commands page.
