I have decided to shut down the game servers.
This decision is due to a lack of time and interest in running them.
They have been running fairly automatically without my intervention for quite some time now, and I didn’t mind letting them run as long as they were actually being used.
However, it now appears that the player base has shrunk to such an extent that there is no longer any point in running the servers any longer.
The reason is likely to be my lack of interest, which has led to a stagnation in development and new features on the servers.
This has led to admins moving on to pastures new, which has made the servers even less attractive to play on.
I hope, for everyone’s sake, that the decline is a sign that there are better servers out there, because then it won’t matter if these servers shut down.
Finally, I’d like to thank everyone who has helped make the servers fun to play on – both the admins and the ordinary players – who have all contributed to ensuring people have had a good time there.
